The 20 Selected Photographs
Alongside the winning image, we are delighted to present the 20 selected photographs. Each one reflects a unique approach to light, atmosphere, and visual expression. Together, they celebrate the diversity of photographic vision and the power of a single image to invite us to pause, look closer, and see differently.
Celebrating the art of seeing, the poetry of light, and the photographers who transform moments into visual stories.
Vemen Magazine is proud to announce the winner of The Poetry of Light 2026: Yemeni photographer Abdullah Muhammad Ali Othman, whose photograph Finding Light captures the quiet beauty and symbolism of light emerging from darkness.
Through this open call, we invited photographers to share their personal vision of light — how it shapes a scene, reveals emotion, creates atmosphere, and transforms an ordinary moment into something meaningful.
After reviewing the submissions, we selected 20 photographs that stood out for their artistic vision, visual storytelling, and distinctive interpretation of light. Each image offers a different perspective, reminding us that photography is not only about what we see, but also about what we feel and discover in the process of looking.
